DEERING CHRISTMAS PARTY

THE ANNUAL DEERING TOWN CHRISTMAS PARTY!

When: Saturday, 19 December, 1:00-4:00 pm

Where: Deering Town Hall, 762 Deering Center Rd (NH Rt 149) (in the heart of Downtown Deering!)

Get ready folks for what has now become a Deering Holiday tradition for ALL kids!

The afternoon will start off with supervised craft making. Kids can make Christmas tree ornaments, color holiday pictures, and in general get down with exercising their big imaginations and tendencies toward (organized) entropy.

Then Deering favorite Roger Tincknell will bring all his musical instruments, songs, silly dogs, and super personality to enchant everybody in the hall.

At about three we expect a visit from none other than Santa, who we are told, will entertain the wishes of any who whisper them in one of his ears.

Just like last year, there will be a raffle for a locally made Gingerbread house. Each kid who attends will be given a chance to win this creation -- for free! The library trustees also have a plan for a special gift for each kid!

Yes, this party is just a week before Christmas! OMG!!! Take a break from the frenzy and commercialization of this day. Bring your kids to this party and let them be kids. Don't have kids? No problem. This is a community rated event that is fun for everybody. Everybody is welcome. After all, 'tis the season!

The Trustees would welcome help! Can you bring a snack? Can you supervise at a craft table, or supervise AND contribute a craft? Watching the kids go at it is a whole lot of fun. We could certainly use your help. If you can, please contact one of the library trustees (Lou Ellen (pbeard@tds.net) or Gary  (samuelspatty@gmail.com). Thanks-- we hope to see you then!

Decorate Christmas Tree ornaments!

The Gingerbread house elves are busy planning a new one for this year

Roger Tincknell enchants our kids, just as he has for years

Don't miss Santa in Deering Town Hall!
