SATURDAY MORNING STORY HOUR RETURNS!
WHEN? WHERE? Saturday, 18th April at 9:30 in the Town Hall Library (second floor, through the door and at the end of the hall)
There is a lot of evidence pointing to increased intellectual development in kids who early in their lives are exposed to words: more words equals enhanced development. With this in mind, the trustees of the Deering Public Library will re-start Saturday Morning Story Hour after a long winter's break. We invite kids of all ages to come with or without their parents to the Deering Town Hall where for an hour or so we will read from the library's collection of children's books. In addition, there will be freshly made muffins, juice (and coffee). As this is the first meeting of the year, we can discuss frequency and format.Reading is fun! We hope you can put Saturday Story Hour on your family schedule!

CURIOUS CREATURES ARE COMING TO TOWN!
Spend an hour with cool critters
in TOWN HALL on April 30, 1‑2 PM
‘Curious Creatures,’ a Massachusetts-based
organization, entertains kids throughout New England by providing up close
experience with exotic, and not so exotic, animals; from cuddly baby skunks and
bunnies to down-right creepy boa constrictors or baby alligators. Professional
animal handlers teach about the animals, their habitats and their habits in
such a way as to instill respect for, and dispel fear of these animals. Bring
the kids to Town Hall on Thursday, 30 April from 1‑2:00 pm for a great time with CURIOUS CREATURES!
