BOOK SALE! CHEAP BOOKS!

BOOK SALE! CHEAP BOOKS!

It is summer (finally!?) and what better time to pick up those quick reads that you have been ashamed to be seen buying? The Deering Public Library will hold its annual BOOK SALE on Saturday, 21 June from 9 to noon in the 'Little Schoolhouse Library"

Here's your chance!

Boxes of books! You want to actually READ the Bourne thing? Ludlum is in there.  War? Suspense? Intrigue? There is WEB Griffin, John Grisham, Scott Turow, Danielle Steele and more. You want vampires? How about the (modern) original Ann Rice? She's lurking in the shadows. Not into fiction? There are books on hunting, fishing, shooting. Building things. Fixing things --  whether they are solid, nails and such, or metaphysical. Kids books. Some new. Some pretty old. Latin grammar (the library WAS a one room school house remember and some books that may have outlived that sort of classical education remain). History. Biography. Really, and not to coin a cliché, there is something for everybody. So…. come to the Little Library in Deering on Saturday, June 21, between 9 and noon. Meet your neighbors and friends over boxes (and boxes and…) of books!

Did I say cheap? A buck for a plastic shopping bag full and $5.00 for one of those bigger bags. A WHOLE SUMMER of reading for the WHOLE FAMILY!

All this is part of the Library Trustees' program to open the Little Library for use this summer. We hope to see you there next Saturday!
